Impacting Lives
This is my first year volunteering with the All-Star Kids Tutoring program through LifeBridge Community Volunteer Center. About a year and a half ago I began thinking about volunteering to tutor children, I mentioned it to my wife as something we could do together since she had volunteered to tutor several years ago. Since that time I have had a great opportunity to learn more about the young man I tutor and his family. Each week is a week to encourage a young person in their reading ability. It is a time to bond with this young person and trust you will somehow impact their life.

Unveiling Creativity
The student I tutor is a lot of fun. He may need help with his reading skills, but he is such a creative person and has so much energy exhibiting his artistic talent and his creative thinking. I get to share very special times with my student. This program has been a benefit, not only for my student, but also for me.

Working Together
The community clean up day was a great opportunity for my wife and 3 kids to be involved in making a difference in our community. My kids were surprized at the needs that were right here in the neighborhood and it was so rewarding to, as a family, work together and meet some fo those needs. We're looking forward to more projects like this one.
